Who is Floss?

Lauren Stewart, a 27 year old girl on a mission to make people smile, one cake at a time. My Nana, who taught me to bake when I was young gave me the nickname Floss and it has stuck with my family ever. 


Where is Floss Cakery located? Do you have a shop front?

We are located in St Heliers. We do not have a shop front, we are a home-based business with the appropriate food licenses.


How much notice do I need to place an order?

The earlier the better! Our minimum order notice period is 14 working days for our Floss Cakes. However should you have an urgent enquiry, we will do our best to accommodate.  

How do I order a cake?

You have TWO options to order a cake.

1. Order a Floss Cake design, choose a size and away you go.  OR

2. Choose to Design your own Cake by completing our enquiry form. This enables you to customise your cake completely. Choose your cake flavour, fillings and frostings or decorations such as flowers or sweets. Include photos or drawings that inspire you. For the "Design your own Cake" option we will provide you with a quote first, and on approval of the quote, the order is confirmed. We require full payment on confirmation of the order.

What prices do Floss Cakes range from?

How do I make a payment for my order?

We will send you a confirmation email which you will need to reply to confirm everything is correct for your order. This email will contain our bank account details for an online bank deposit. Once we have received the payment, we will proceed with the order.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do within the Auckland area. Delivery starts from $15.00.


What is the best way to transport my cake on pick up?

Your beautiful Floss creation comes in either a cardboard box or cake box for ease of transportation. We recommend that if you are picking up your cake to have someone with you to hold the cake during travel. It is also advised that the car is well air conditioned due to the soft cake.


How should I store my cake once received?

All of our cakes are filled and/or covered in soft buttercream. Please store your cake in the fridge until 2-3 hours before serving, to allow it to come down to room temperature. Your Floss cake is tastiest when eaten within 2-3 days of receiving it.
